FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) has announced its volleyball All-Tournament Team and senior Hailey Dougherty and freshman Jenna Feinauer were honored for their performances during the 2019 postseason.
The Sea Gulls, who represented the third seed in this year's tournament, defeated sixth-seeded St. Mary's in the opening round before falling to second-seeded Mary Washington in the semifinals.
Dougherty tallied 45 total digs throughout Salisbury's two matches while averaging 5.63 digs per set. The defensive specialist led the conference in both statistical categories throughout the season, finishing with 601 total digs and 5.37 digs per set. Dougherty was named conference Defensive Player of the Week three times as well as CAC Defensive Player of the Year in 2019 and now sits fourth all-time in program history with 1,869 career digs.
Feinauer started both matches for the Sea Gulls, combining for 15 kills and a .517 hitting percentage. The middle blocker also recorded four total blocks while adding an assist. Feinauer finished the season leading the conference with 96 total blocks, ranked second with 0.93 blocks per set and finished fourth overall with a .276 hitting percentage in 2019.
