INDIANAPOLIS – The Salisbury University volleyball team held at 10th in the third regional rankings for the Mid-Atlantic Region, as announced by the NCAA.
With an overall record of 17-10 and 5-5 in the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) at the end of the regular season, Salisbury was able to earn the third seed in the CAC Championship Tournament. The Sea Gulls outlasted the St. Mary's Seahawks in five sets in the CAC First Round on Tuesday before falling in the semifinal round to the Mary Washington Eagles on Thursday.
Johns Hopkins led the Mid-Atlantic Region for all three polls with a 27-0 overall record. Susquehanna, Carnegie Mellon, Christopher Newport and Juniata round out the top-five spots in the rankings in that order.
Salisbury waits for a potential at-large bid into the NCAA Division III National Tournament. The tournament field will be announced on Monday, Nov. 11 at 12:30 p.m.
