FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Capital Athletic Conference announced its weekly track & field awards on Tuesday and two Salisbury University student-athletes earned honors.
At the Towson Invite this past weekend, Farley picked up three top-10 performances, with two in the top five. As part of the 4x400-meter relay team, she helped break a school record which had stood since 2012, finishing the race in 3:58.47, placing fifth. The 4x100-meter relay team, which Farley was a part of, placed sixth in a time of 49.48 seconds while she took third in the 400-meter dash individually, crossing the line in 57.35 seconds.
Stump also broke a school record at the Towson event, doing so in the men's pole vault, breaking a record which had stood since 2004. Stump cleared 15' 1" to earn the victory in the event. His current height ranks him 18th in the nation.
The Sea Gulls return to action this Saturday hosting the Salisbury University Eastern Shore Challenge at the Salisbury University Track & Field Complex beginning at 11 a.m.
