SALISBURY, Md. – Salisbury University junior pole vaulter Kyleigh Dumas will compete in the 2019 Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships on March 8-9 in Boston, Massachusetts at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center.

How Dumas got here
Dumas was exceptional meet after meet during the indoor season earning a spot in this year's championships. At the 2019 Eastern College Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships Dumas cleared the bar at a height of 12' 2.5" to not only win the event and set a new school record but also qualify for the championships. Dumas is one of 20 female athletes who qualified for the event and will be seeded 17th overall.
Last time out
In her last meet Dumas shattered the school record en route to a victory in the pole vault. At the 2019 ECAC indoor championships Dumas cleared the bar at a height of 12' 2.5" to earn the victory and reset the school record, which she herself previously broke earlier this season. The victory in the event was her fifth of the indoor season.
Soaring to new heights
Since her arrival on the Eastern Shore Dumas has been rewriting the record books for the women's track & field program. At the Eastern Shore Combined Events Meet, Dumas cleared the bar at a height of 11' 8" to break her previous school record of 11' 7.75." Then at the 2019 Capital Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships Dumas posted a height of 11' 4.5" to break the CAC meet record, which had stood for four years. She capped her indoor season with her outstanding performance at the ECAC championships as she posted a new record of 12' 2.5 to win the event and qualify for the NCAA championships.
Dumas will compete in the pole vault event on Friday, March 8 starting at 5:30 p.m. (Eastern Time).
