YORK, Pa. – The Capital Athletic Conference announced its weekly softball awards and for the third-straight week, and sixth overall, Salisbury University junior Rachel Johnson has been named the league's Pitcher of the Week, announced on Monday.
Johnson tossed a pair of perfect games and won a third time, helping Salisbury to a 6-0 week and a share of the CAC regular-season title. Johnson shut down Wesley College on Wednesday, striking out 11 of the 15 batters she faced, before she worked through the University of Mary Washington lineup in order on Saturday, striking out 10.
