YORK, Pa. – The Salisbury University men's tennis team has been tabbed by the league's coaches as the third-place team in the Capital Athletic Conference preseason coaches' poll, the conference announced on Tuesday.

The Sea Gulls, who have advanced to the past eight CAC championship matches, collected 38 points in the poll, while the University of Mary Washington collected 49 points, and the maximum seven first-place votes, being chosen as the top team. Christopher Newport University earned the final first-place vote and 42 points to be named the No. 2 team in the league.

The pull is completed by St. Mary's College of Maryland (25 points), York College of Pennsylvania (24), Southern Virginia University (20), Frostburg State University (14) and Penn State University-Harrisburg (12).

Salisbury opened its season last weekend, collecting wins over Juniata College and Bridgewater (Va.) College. Today, the Sea Gulls travel to Fredericksburg, Virginia, where they will take on Hampden-Sydney College.
