SALISBURY, Md. – Following first-round byes in both men's and women's tennis and lacrosse, four Capital Athletic Conference semifinal match-ups have been set for the Salisbury University athletic program.
The women's tennis team will begin its run in the CAC playoffs this afternoon, as the Gulls will host St. Mary's (Md.) College in the semifinals at 3 p.m., at the SU Outdoor Tennis Courts. The No. 14 men will host York (Pa.) College on Tuesday, April 20, in the semifinals. The start time for that match is still to be announced.
The men's and women's lacrosse teams will be in search of their 16th and 10th CAC titles, respectively, this week. The No. 2 women will host No. 19 Stevenson University on Tuesday evening, that game will begin at 7 p.m., at Sea Gull Stadium. The top-ranked men's team will put its unblemished 16-0 mark on the line on Wednesday afternoon, as they host the University of Mary Washington, beginning at 4 p.m. Both are semifinal contests as well.
The four teams will be looking to add to the three CAC titles that the Salisbury program picked up this past weekend. The Sea Gulls claimed their first ever CAC women's track & field title, the 12th men's track & field crown and the 15th softball championship.
