Salisbury tennis matches at Wesley postponed

SALISBURY, Md. – With rain expected to hit the Eastern Shore on Tuesday afternoon, the Salisbury University men’s and women’s tennis teams have postponed their Capital Athletic Conference matches scheduled to be played at Wesley College.

The matches have been rescheduled for Thursday, April 15, beginning at 3 p.m.

The teams are coming off a pair of wins on Sunday afternoon. The No. 14 men’s tennis team claimed a narrow 5-4 victory against The College of New Jersey, while the women picked up a convincing 8-1 win against Wilkes University, played at Swarthmore College.

Both of the Sea Gull teams have clinched a first-round bye in next week’s CAC tournament. The women are scheduled to host a semifinal match on Monday, April 19 while the men will open play in the semifinals on Tuesday, April 20. Both matches will be against opponents not yet determined.
