Gulls rank No. 12 in, No. 23 in NSCAA polls

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University men's soccer team now occupies a top-20 spot in two different rankings, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and announced Tuesday afternoon.

Salisbury (4-0-1) made a four-spot jump in the poll from last week, landing at No. 12. Receiving 294 points, the Sea Gulls overcame the other Capital Athletic Conference opponent in the rankings this week, Christopher Newport University, which comes in at No. 13.

In the NSCAA ranking, SU makes its first appearance since the preseason top 25, coming in at No. 23 this week.

Both polls share a similar top two, as the defending national champion Messiah College maintains No. 1 with a record of 6-0 so far this season, and Kenyon College takes No. 2 with a 5-0 tally.

The men are set to take the field on Wednesday, September 17 for their next match, as Salisbury welcomes Washington (Md.) College to the SU Soccer Complex. First touch is set for 4 p.m.
