Sea Gulls ranked No. 10 in NSCAA poll, No. 9 in poll

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University men's soccer team has moved up two spots in both the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Top 25 poll, and the poll, the organizations announced Tuesday.

The previously ranked No. 12 Sea Gulls now occupy the No. 10 spot in the NSCAA poll, as well as No. 9 in the poll after defeating St. Mary's College of Maryland, 2-0, on Sunday. This win claimed them the top seed in the conference tournament, as well as a first-round bye.

SU (15-2) received 405 points in this week's poll.

Previously ranked No. 1 Ohio Wesleyan University (16-0-2) has moved down to No. 2 in both polls with 591 points and seven first-place votes. Amherst College (11-0-2) now occupies the No.1 spot in the NSCAA poll, and No. 5 in the poll. Messiah College is ranked No. 1 in the nation in the poll, after receiving 615 points and 17 first-place votes.

Salisbury will host Wesley College, Wednesday, Oct. 30, at the SU Soccer Complex. The game is set to begin at 3 p.m.
