Salisbury moves up to No. 16 in poll

MINNEAPOLIS - The Salisbury University men's soccer team has moved up four spots to No. 16 in the latest poll, the website announced Tuesday.

The Sea Gulls received 242 points in this week's poll, also receiving votes in the National Coaches of America Men's Top 25 poll after defeating South Virginia University, 3-0, Saturday afternoon.

Ohio Wesleyan University (14-0) remains in the No. 1 spot with 622 points and 24 first-place votes. York (Pa.) College (12-1) follows with 595 points and one first-place vote. Messiah College (12-1) has moved up one spot to No. 3, receiving 572 points, pushing Rutgers- Camden University (12-0-2) to No. 4. New to the top five rankings is previously-ranked No. 6 Amherst College with 508 points.

Salisbury (11-2) will travel to Marymount University, Wednesday, Oct. 16, for its third consecutive away game. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
