Sea Gulls remain No. 20 in poll

MINNEAPOLIS - The Salisbury University men's soccer team remains No. 20 in the latest Top 25 poll, the website announced on Tuesday.

SU (9-2) defeated Penn State University of Harrisburg, 3-0, Saturday afternoon, outshooting the Nittany Lions 25-4.

The Sea Gulls earned 159 points in the poll, finishing ahead of Wheaton College of Illinois (128), Roanoke College (123), Franklin & Marshall College (121), University of Rochester (93) and Randolph College (66).

The undefeated Ohio Wesleyan University (13-0) holds steady at No. 1 in the nation with 621 points and 24 first-place votes. Now occupying the No. 2 spot is York (Pa.) College (10-1) which moved up from No. 4, with 574 points, pushing Rutgers-Camden University (11-0-1) to No. 3 with 567 points.

Other changes to this week's top five include Messiah College (10-1) which has moved down to No. 4 with 555 points and one first-place vote, and No. 5 DePauw University (11-0-1) which has moved up from No. 6, with 488 points.

SU returns to action on Wednesday at the University of Mary Washington. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.
