CENTERVILLE, Mass. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference has announced its weekly awards and Salisbury University sophomore Trevor Sharpe was named the conference's South Region Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Sharpe scored three goals for the Sea Gulls in two matches last week. The Cherry Hill, N.J., native put home both goals in Salisbury's 2-0 win against Johns Hopkins University on Wednesday and followed that up with a score against The College of New Jersey, in a 2-2 tie, on Saturday.
This season Sharpe has scored a team-best six goals, which is tied for second in the Capital Athletic Conference.
Sharpe and the Gulls will be back in action on Wednesday when they host Wesley College. The game is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
