LOUISVILLE – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its week 13 Coaches' Poll on Monday morning and Salisbury University moved up one spot to claim the No. 2 ranking in the country.
The Sea Gulls claimed their 22nd Capital Athletic Conference championship on May 4 defeating No. 4 York College of Pennsylvania, 13-7. Salisbury received two of the possible 18 first-place votes while it totaled 340 points.
Rochester Institute of Technology was the only team in the top five to not move as the Tigers held strong at No. 1 with 13 first-place votes and a total of 355 points. Tufts University moved up one spot to take over the No. 3 ranking as the Jumbos garnered three-first place votes and 323 points. CAC opponent York came in at No. 4 totaling 309 points while Williams College rounded out the top five jumping up two spots from No. 7, accumulating 280 points.
Salisbury returns to action on Wednesday, May 8 when it hosts the winner of the first round contest between State University of New York Maritime College and Grove City College.
