PERRY, N.Y. – The Salisbury University men's lacrosse team sits at No. 11 in the nation in the latest United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association coaches' poll, released on Monday.
The Sea Gulls (6-3) fell in their only game of the past week, dropping their Capital Athletic Conference opener at No. 2 York College of Pennsylvania.
Salisbury earned 176 points in the latest poll, 36 points behind No. 10 Franklin and Marshall College.
Rochester Institute of Technology held at the top spot with 399 points and 21 first-place votes, followed by York, which received the final first-place vote and 379 points. Tufts University (353 points), Gettysburg College (340), and Wesleyan (Conn.) University (289) round out the top five.
Salisbury and York are joined in the top 20 from the CAC by Christopher Newport University, which climbed three spots this week to No. 15.
The Sea Gulls get back on the field this Wednesday, March 28 hosting Wesley College at Sea Gull Stadium beginning at 7 p.m.
