Men's lacrosse golf tournament approaching, "Last Tunnel Walk" planned

SALISBURY, Md. – The No. 1 Salisbury University men's lacrosse team is closing in on the end of its regular season and its annual golf tournament.

This year's event will be played on Friday, April 15 at Green Hill Country Club, with check-in beginning at 11:30 a.m., and the shotgun start taking place at 1 p.m.

Registration includes golf, use of a golf cart, prizes, buffet dinner at Adam's Taphouse Grille, and a donation to the men's lacrosse program.

Cost for the event is $90 for a general registration, while young alumni of the program (graduated between 2011 and 2015) can register for $75. Hole sponsorships are available for $100 apiece.

The tournament will be mixed with added excitement this year as the new Sea Gull Stadium will be open for the game the following day, April 16, against No. 12 Cabrini College.

If you've found yourself near the pedestrian tunnel crossing under Route 13 near Maggs Physical Activities Center an hour before a home men's lacrosse game, you may have encountered the men's lacrosse team making its walk from its locker room in Maggs to Sea Gull Stadium.

With the renovations to the stadium, the team will have a permanent locker room located there, and they will be making the "Last Tunnel Walk" on April 16. As this has been a tradition for the team and its fans dating back to 1995, the program would like to share its final walk with alumni of the program.

Those former players, and their families, who wish to walk with the team should meet in front of Maggs Physical Activities Center, near the Perdue School of Business, at 11:40 a.m. on Saturday, April 16.
