Men's basketball into poll at No. 23

MINNEAPOLIS – As the Salisbury University men's basketball team gets set to begin play in the Capital Athletic Conference tournament, the Sea Gulls learned they have climbed back into the top 25, landing at No. 23.

Salisbury gained 54 points to make the poll, just 21 points behind Trinity (Conn.) College, and 10 points ahead of Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

The Sea Gulls had been in the poll during the first two weeks of the regular season, being ranked as high as No. 17.

Salisbury (20-5, 13-5 CAC), which earned the No. 2 seed in the CAC tournament, will host third-seeded University of Mary Washington on Thursday, February 25. That game will tip off at 7 p.m.
