Johnson named to NFHCA Senior Game

CHANDLER, Ariz. – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association announced the list of players it has invited to the 2015 Victory Sports Tours / NFHCA Division III Senior Game, and Salisbury University senior Sam Johnson was selected to participate.

The annual all-star game is held on the weekend of the NCAA Division III national semifinals and championship game at the same site. This year's Senior Game will take place at Washington and Lee University, on Saturday, November 21 beginning at 4 p.m.

This season, Johnson has been a playmaker for the Sea Gulls (10-3), factoring in 14 goals for the team. Johnson has scored eight goals and assisted on six tallies as the team's primary inserter on penalty corners.

Johnson's biggest goal of the year came on Wednesday night when she put home the game winner in the second overtime period at No. 13 Christopher Newport University to seal a Capital Athletic Conference victory.

The Delmar, Maryland native has made her mark on the program record books, ranking fourth in program history with 38 career assists. She is also just outside the top 10 in program history in career points, having scored 104 at this point in her time in maroon and gold.
