SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University football team heads into action this weekend at William Paterson University as the No. 22 team in the American Football Coaches Association poll and No. 25 in the D3football.com poll.
Salisbury holds 116 points in the AFCA poll, five points clear of No. 23 Coe College. In the D3football.com poll, the Sea Gulls earned 56 points, 20 point behind fellow New Jersey Athletic Conference member Rowan University. Salisbury and Rowan are the only two NJAC schools in either poll.
The top four teams from each poll remain the same, with the University of Mount Union atop both polls, followed by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, and the University of St. Thomas Minnesota. In the AFCA poll, Wheaton (Ill.) College climbed one spot to No. 5, while the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh holds the fifth spot in the D3football.com poll this week.
The Sea Gulls travel north to Wayne, New Jersey to take on William Paterson on Saturday, October 15. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
