Football climbs to No. 15 in poll

MINNEAPOLIS – The Salisbury University football team climbed one spot in the latest poll this week moving back up to No. 15 following a 20-point win against Montclair State University on Saturday, September 17.

The Sea Gulls earned 271 points in this week's poll, gaining 25 points from last week and currently stand 29 points away from No. 14 Delaware Valley University.

The top five saw a shake up this week. After the University Mount Union (614 points and 19 first-place votes) and the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (587 points and two first-place votes) held at the top two spots, the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor jumped two spots to No. 3, earning 578 points and three first-place votes. The University of St. Thomas (Minn.) held at No. 4 with 566 points and one first-place vote, while the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh climbed to No. 5 garnering 517 points.

The Sea Gulls hit the road for the first time in 2016 this Saturday, September 24, traveling to Southern Virginia University for a 1 p.m., kickoff.
