PITMAN, N.J. - After hitting the 36-yard field goal that gave the Salisbury University football team its first win over No. 3 Wesley College in 11 years, sophomore kicker Alex Potocko was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week, the league announced on Sunday.
Potocko lined up with 2:23 remaining in the game, driving home the kick to give Salisbury the 38-35 victory over the Wolverines. It was his only field goal of the game, while he converted all five extra-point attempts on the day.
This marks the first NJAC weekly award for Potocko for 2015.
