Kolb named ECAC Special Teams Player of the Week

DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference announced its football awards on Tuesday afternoon and Salisbury University sophomore Ryan Kolb was named the league's Special Teams Player of the Week.

Kolb helped the Sea Gulls to a 59-49 victory over Hartwick College in Saturday's Homecoming game with an 85-yard kickoff return, tying the game, 21-21, in the second quarter. Hartwick had just scored on a long pass play to regain the lead, quieting the nearly 3,000 in attendance, before Kolb's return.

Kolb had a total of three kick returns, for an average of 42.3 yards, and contributed offensively, with three carries, including a touchdown.

The Sea Gulls are back in action on Saturday, October 25, as the travel to Ithaca College at 12 p.m.
