Four Sea Gulls land on All-CAC cross country teams; Masteran earns first-team honors

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Capital Athletic Conference announced its 2018 all-conference honorees for cross country on Thursday and four Salisbury University student-athletes earned the accolade for their performance at the CAC championships this past weekend.

On the men's side, senior Conner Masteran picked up first-team honors, while sophomore Mason Kimbell took second-team accolades.

On the women's side, junior Ashley Mazer and freshman Catie Cambon were each named to the second team.

Runners to place in the top eight in their race earn first-team honors while runners who place between ninth and 16th are placed on the second team.

Masteran earned a fourth-place finish in the men's race to pick up the first-team honors, finishing the 8,000-meter race in 26:41. Kimbell placed 13th in a time 27:25 to make second-team accolades.

Mazer completed the women's 6,000-meter race in 24:43 for a ninth-place finish while Cambon came home in 14th in 25:04 for their second-team standing.
