Men's cross country team ranked ninth in Mideast Region by USTFCCCA

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University men's cross country team will enter the 2010 season as the No. 9 ranked team in the Mideast Region as the preseason rankings were released by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

The Sea Gulls find themselves in a tie for ninth place with Gettysburg College. The top team in the Mideast Region entering the season is Allegheny College.

Salisbury finished 11th out of 51 teams at the 2009 Mideast Regional Championship where Stephen Berstler earned All-Freshman honors for his 58th-place finish in the race.

The 2010 season will begin next Saturday, Sept. 4, when Salisbury hosts the Sea Gull Opener at Winterplace Park. It is one of three home meets this season, including the Capital Athletic Conference Championships on Nov. 6.
