Stromberg named first CAC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week

YORK, Pa. - Salisbury University junior Kristen Stromberg (Hampstead, Md.) was selected as the first Capital Athletic Conference female Cross Country Athlete of the week for the 2009 season. 

The junior runner led the maroon and gold in the Sea Gull Opener, as she placed 11th overall. Stromberg flew across the finish line at 23:57, and helped the Sea Gulls claim fourth place in team standings.

The maroon and gold return to action on Saturday, Sept. 12 at the Towson University Invitational in Hunt Valley, Md.
