Barnard named CAC Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week

YORK, Pa. - Salisbury University junior Chris Barnard (Olney, Md.) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 29 for his performance at the Don Cathcart Invitational.

Barnard finished the eight-kilometer course in 26:02 and finished seventh overall at Winterplace Park in Salisbury. He was the first CAC runner to cross the finish line to help the Sea Gulls finish third in the standings.

Salisbury will be in action again on Oct. 2 at 4 p.m. in the Paul Short Invitational in Bethlehem, Pa.
