Barnard honored with second CAC Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week award

YORK, Pa. - Salisbury University junior Chris Barnard (Olney, Md.) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 27 for his performance at Elizabethtown College's Battle of the Buggy Invitational. This is the second time Barnard has received the honor this season.

He finished the six kilometer course in 20:48 to finish eighth overall at Lancaster County Park in Pennsylvania. He was the first CAC runner to cross the finish line and led the Sea Gulls to a third place finish overall.

Salisbury will next be in action at the CAC Championships in Walkersville, Md. On Nov. 7 at 11 a.m.
