Berstler earns All-Freshman honors for his performance at NCAA Mideast Regionals

SALISBURY, Md. - The Salisbury University men's cross country team may have finished its season this past Saturday, but the accolades keep on coming. Freshman Stephen Berstler (Chester, N.J.) has earned All-Freshman honors for his performance at the NCAA Mideast Regional Championships.

Berstler's 26:39 time, good for a 58th place finish at the meet, helped his Sea Gulls capture 11th place overall at Saturday's race. He was the third-fastest freshman in the Mideast Region. Along with his stellar performance on Saturday, Berstler was voted Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Rookie of the Year and earned first-team All-CAC honors for his third-place finish at the conference championship meet.
