Dickerson collects second CAC CAC Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week

YORK, Pa. - The Capital Athletic Conference announced its weekly conference athlete of the week awards and Salisbury University senior Zack Dickerson was named the men's cross country recipient for the week of October 14. This is the second time this season Dickerson has garnered the award as he was the recipient for September 30.

Dickerson placed second out of 180 runners in the DeSales Invitational last Saturday held in Center Valley, Pa., with a time a time of 26:58. Dickerson, along with his Sea Gull teammates, helped Salisbury place first out of 20 teams. Salisbury had its top five runners finish in the top 20 with 46 points.

The senior has put together a very impressive season thus far. On September 20, he finished in first place at the Don Cathcart Invitational men's 8K race with a time of 26:06. In the home opener on September 6 he finished with a time of 27:30 but has hampered by poor course conditions due to Tropical Storm Hanna. The following week he finished 13th at the Waynesburg Invitational with a time of 26:58.

The Sea Gulls will next travel to Gettysburg, Pa., to compete in the Gettysburg Invitational on Saturday, October 18, at 10 a.m.
