Bulger distinguished as CAC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week

YORK, Pa. - The Capital Athletic Conference announced its weekly conference athlete of the week awards and Salisbury University senior Jenn Bulger was named the women's cross country recipient for the week of October 14. This is the first time Bulger has received this award this season.

Bulger placed sixth out of 145 runners in the DeSales Invitational 6K race last Saturday held in Center Valley, Pa., with a time of 24:12. Bulger's effort propelled Salisbury to its best performance of the season as the maroon and gold finished second out of 18 teams with 88 points, 15 behind first-place Rowan (73 points). The Verona, N.J., native finished 41st in the Don Cathcart Invitational on September 27 with a time of 24:40. That was the first race for Bulger this season.

The Sea Gulls will next travel to Gettysburg, Pa., to compete in the Gettysburg Invitational on Saturday, October 18 at 10 a.m.
