  • Volleyball stumbles on homecoming

    The Salisbury University volleyball team squared off against the University of Mary Washington on Saturday afternoon as part the 2018 homecoming festivities on campus. The Sea Gulls fell to the visiting Eagles in a tough conference match, 3-0.
  • Sea Gulls storm back from 0-2 deficit to down Swarthmore 3-2

    The Salisbury University volleyball team traveled to Swarthmore College on Saturday afternoon for an out of conference bout with the Garnet. The Sea Gulls claimed a thrilling 3-2 victory over Swarthmore coming back from a 0-2 deficit. It is the first time the maroon and gold have overcome a 0-2 hole since last season against York College of Pennsylvania in the Capital Athletic Conference Semifinals.
  • Savarese named ECAC South Defensive Player of the Month

    The Eastern College Athletic Conference released the Women’s Volleyball Player of the Month awards for September 2018 on Thursday morning. Salisbury University senior middle blocker Gianna Savarese earned recognition from the organization as she was named the Division III South Defensive Player of the Month.

    The Salisbury University volleyball team earned its first Capital Athletic Conference victory of the season on Saturday afternoon, downing Penn State University-Harrisburg 3-0 at Maggs Physical Activities Center.
  • Venturelli tallies 21 kills; Sea Gulls down Marlins 3-1

    The Salisbury University volleyball team got back in the win column on Wednesday night downing the Virginia Wesleyan Marlins in four sets at Maggs Physical Activities Center. The Sea Gulls used held the Marlins to a .118 hitting percentage while posting a .227 mark of their own and registering 58 team kills to aid in the victory.

    The Salisbury University volleyball took to the road to open Capital Athletic Conference play on Saturday afternoon falling to host Southern Virginia University in four sets.
  • Sea Gulls finish weekend at Neumann with split on day two

    The Salisbury University volleyball team finished its weekend at the Knights Invitational with a split on the final day of the tournament. The Sea Gulls fell in five sets to Cabrini University before closing out the weekend with a sweep of Moravian College.
  • Venturelli tallies 41 kills; Salisbury splits on day one at Knights Invitational

    The Salisbury University volleyball traveled to Pennsylvania and Neumann University to take part in the Knights Invitational. The Sea Gulls finished with a .500 record on day one of the tournament falling in five to the Catholic University of America and sweeping host Neumann University.

    The Salisbury University volleyball team got back in the win column on Wednesday night with a sweep of Route 13 rival, Wesley College. The Sea Gulls controlled the match from start to finish recording recorded 12 service aces to earn the victory.

    The Salisbury University volleyball team returned for day two of the Guetle Invitational on Saturday afternoon and walked away with a sweep, defeating the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, 3-0, and The Catholic University of America, 3-2.
  • Volleyball tames Cougars; sweeps Chatham on day one of Guetle Invitational

    The Salisbury University volleyball team traveled to our nation's capital on Friday to compete in the Guetle Invitational and started off the weekend with a victory over Chatham University in straight sets. It is the Sea Gulls third consecutive victory in straight sets and fourth in their last five matches.

    The Salisbury University volleyball team took on eastern shore rival Washington College on Wednesday night in the Sea Gulls' home opener. The maroon and gold up ended their counterpart snapping the Shorewomen's perfect 4-0 start to the season, downing them in three straight sets.
  • Venturelli tallies 1,000th career kill, Salisbury splits on day one of Pacific Coast Classic

    The Salisbury University volleyball opened up its season with a split on day one of the Pacific Coast Classic. The Sea Gulls dropped a 3-0 decision in their first match to Chapman University but rallied back to secure a 3-0 win over host La Verne College in the second match of the afternoon. Nicole Venturelli made history as well as she notched the 1,000th kill of her career on Friday afternoon.

    The Salisbury University volleyball wrapped its weekend on the west coast with a split on the final day of the Pacific Coast Classic earning a victory over Pomona Pitzer College in the final match of the of day after a tough loss to Cal Lutheran University in the early match of the day.

    The Capital Athletic Conference released the 2018 volleyball coach's poll on Tuesday morning and Salisbury University was selected to finish third earning 34 points.
  • Volleyball excited for a big 2018 season

    As a new season dawns for Salisbury University volleyball, Head Coach Justin Turco took some time to look at his new squad and talk about his outlook on the upcoming 2018 campaign. "I am excited and optimistic, we have a great group of returners and a lot of talent and athleticism," Turco said. "We had a great spring season, where we made a lot of progress and accomplished everything we wanted to accomplish."
