LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Salisbury University volleyball team held steady as the No. 18-ranked team in the nation according to the American Volleyball Coaches Association, which released its latest coaches' poll on Tuesday.
Salisbury was idle in the past week and received 201 points in the latest poll, trailing No. 17 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater by 30 points.
The top three teams remained the same with Washington University in St. Louis retaining the top spot with 600 points after receiving all 24 first-place votes, while Calvin College (573 points) and Wittenberg University (547) stayed in second and third. Christopher Newport University (504) and Hope College (499) traded positions to round out the top five.
The Sea Gulls will be back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 10, when they host Johns Hopkins University at Maggs Physical Activities Center. The opening serve is set for 7 p.m.
