Glowacki, Todd named ECAC volleyball south region all-stars

CENTERVILLE, Mass. – Salisbury University juniors Chelsea Glowacki and Carley Todd were named 2011 ECAC South Women's Volleyball Second Team All-Stars recently.

Glowacki finished sixth in the Capital Athletic Conference with a .261 attack percentage, tallied 274 kills, 26 aces and 179 digs on the season. The Poolesville, Md., native led the league in blocks per game (1.07) with 136 total in 36 matches.

Todd posted 219 kills, 642 assists, 312 digs and 90 total blocks in 35 matches this season. The Centerport, N.Y., native had 59 service aces and averaged 0.46 aces per game, which was fifth best in the league.

Glowacki also earned her second straight honorable mention all-American honor in 2011 to go along with a third consecutive all-region accolade. Glowacki has picked up three all-CAC team honors, including two first-team selections in as many seasons.

Todd was also SU's second third team all-American in school history in 2011, while being tabbed a first team all-region selection. Todd was honored as CAC Volleyball Player of the Year and earned first team all-CAC status.

SU (32-4) advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament before falling to Christopher Newport University. The Sea Gulls finished with 30-plus wins for the fifth time in program history.
