SALISBURY, Md .-The Salisbury University
women's tennis team hosted University of Maryland Eastern Shore on
Wednesday and earned its first dual match win, 9-0, over the
Division I Hawks.
The Sea Gulls (1-3) never dropped a set for the entire match. SU
freshmen Kelly Fahrner, Rachel
Iosue and sophomore Anna Marie Kable each
picked up their third singles victory on the season and improved to
3-1 individually.
SU No. 2 doubles team of Kable and sophomore Hannah
Parsons improved their tandem record to 2-1 on the year
when they beat UMES No. 2 Fatoumata Ba and Haaveshe Sawyer 8-1.
Salisbury also beat UMES last year by the same score of 9-0. The
Sea Gulls will be back in action on March 10, as they host the
Gophers of Goucher College in their Capital Athletic Conference
opener.
