Apr 12, 2007 Sea Gulls pick up third straight winSALISBURY, Md. - The Salisbury University
women's tennis won its third 9-0 match in a row on Thursday
afternoon as the Sea Gulls cruised to a nine match sweep of Chowan
University at the SU Tennis Complex.
All three doubles teams for the Sea Gulls (11-7) rolled to 8-0
victories while Kelly Fahrner, Jackie
Burr and Robyn Wendell won their singles
matches in straight set sweeps.
The Sea Gulls won the match by a combined score of 96-6 as the
Hawks closest match came in the No. 1 singles competition, a 6-1,
6-2 win for Hannah Parsons over Krystyan Fleming.
The Sea Gulls will next host Capital Athletic Conference
opponent Gallaudet University in a first round CAC match-up on
Tuesday, April 17 at 4:30 pm at the SU Tennis Complex.
