Boller, Beck named to All-CAC first team; Goetz earns second-team honors

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Capital Athletic Conference announced its All-CAC women's soccer teams on Wednesday morning and Salisbury juniors Julianna Boller and Jenna Beck were both named to the first team. Freshman Ally Goetz received second-team honors. The awards mark the first all-conference honors for each of the three Sea Gulls.

Boller, who finished second on the team in points last season, took her game to the next level in 2018 by leading all Sea Gulls with seven goals and 14 points. Of her seven goals scored, three were ultimately credited as game winners.

Beck played an integral role for the Sea Gulls in 2018 as one of the team's top defenders, starting in all but two games for the maroon and gold. She helped lead a Salisbury team that held its opponents to a .098 shooting percentage—good for third best in the conference.

Goetz found her footing in her rookie campaign with the Sea Gulls and discovered ways to contribute offensively throughout the season. She led the team with 30 shots and finished third with 12 shots on goal, while contributing a goal and an assist.
