When did you start playing your sport and how did you get involved with it?
I started playing soccer when I was four years old because my parents wanted me to get involved in a team sport. I ended up loving it and sticking with it for the rest of my life. I started playing at a more competitive level when I went to middle school and eventually decided I wanted to play in college.
What is your greatest athletic accomplishment?
My greatest accomplishment is being voted most improved player by my teammates this past season.
What is your favorite memory of playing at Salisbury University?
My favorite memory is tying Christopher Newport University my sophomore year because we played a great, competitive game. They are our rival and we were able to stop them.
Who is your biggest hero, athletically or otherwise, and why?
My biggest hero is Ellen Degeneres because she has worked very hard to become successful and instead of spending her money on herself, she has dedicated her life to helping others. She is involved in many different charities and brings different people who are inspiring on to her show to share their story with the world. It is also on my bucket list to go and see a live show one day.
What is your favorite part of being a student (not just a student-athlete) at Salisbury University?
My favorite part of being a student at Salisbury University is taking classes that really interest me. It is much easier to get involved in your schoolwork and perform better in class if you are passionate about what you are learning.
What do you like to do when you're not at practice, at a game or in class?
When I'm not a practice I enjoy relaxing. My teammates and I like to go to Ocean City when it is warm out to have a beach day. I also work at the Greene Turtle in the off season.
What are your plans after graduation?
After I graduate from Salisbury I plan to go to graduate school for physical therapy.
