YORK, Pa. – The Capital Athletic Conference announced its weekly women's soccer awards on Monday and Salisbury University junior Victoria Luc was honored as the Offensive Player of the Week.
The forward led the Sea Gulls, playing a role in two game-winning goals last week, as Salisbury topped Stevenson University, 3-2 on Tuesday, and Southern Virginia, 2-1 on Saturday.
The Pasadena, Maryland native recorded a goal and an assist against the Mustangs, including the assist on Samantha Beck's game-winning goal in overtime.
Luc was not able to be at most of the game against the Knights because of work she had to complete for her nursing major, but she showed up just in time for overtime. In the second overtime period, Luc received a ball from Jackie Lambergman and fired it into the net, securing the win for Salisbury.
Luc and the Sea Gulls return to action on Saturday, October 4, as Frostburg State University travels to Salisbury. First touch is set for 3 p.m., at the SU Soccer Complex.
