KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The National Soccer Coaches Association of America released its 2013 women's soccer NSCAA/Continental Tire All-Region Teams and Salisbury University defender Tabitha Brown was honored for her play as a third-team selection in the South Atlantic Region, the organization announced Wednesday.
The sophomore led the Sea Gull defense that finished second in the Capital Athletic Conference in goals allowed (15) and goals-against average (0.71). Salisbury's goals-against average was good for 44th in all of Division III, out of 427 teams. The Sea Gulls shut out its opponents 55 percent of the time, tops in the conference and 38th in the nation.
The Bethany, Conn., native was a contributor on the offensive end as well, netting two goals and dishing out an assist in 20 games, starting each of the Sea Gulls' contests.
