How we got here

Salisbury finished fourth in the conference with a regular-season record of 10-5-3, going 5-2-1 in the CAC.

How they got here

Frostburg earned the fifth seed with an 8-7-2 record in the regular season, including a 4-2-2 record in conference play.

Series history

This will be the 12th all-time meeting between the two schools, with the Sea Gulls holding an 8-1-2 advantage in the all-time series. The Sea Gulls are 4-1-2 against the Bobcats when playing in Salisbury.

The last time we met

The two teams met two weeks ago, Oct. 19, in Frostburg, with 110 minutes of soccer not being enough to decide a winner. Neither team scored in the scoreless draw.

It's been a while…

It has been since Oct. 6, 2012 since either side has scored a goal in this series. With 5:57 remaining in that contest, then-sophomore Morgan Brasch scored the deciding goal for the Sea Gulls in a 2-1 win. Since that goal, it has been 225:57 since either side has put a tally on the scoreboard. That includes last year's CAC championship contest, which was decided by penalty kicks, and the matchup earlier this season.

Scouting Frostburg State

The Bobcats come into today's game with back-to-back 3-1 wins, over University of Mary Washington and Marymount (Va.) University, respectively. Including the tie against Salisbury and a 4-0 win over Southern Virginia University, the Bobcats are unbeaten in their last four contests. The Bobcats are led by Stephanie Fazenbaker, who has scored a team-high 12 goals to go with four assists for a team-leading 28 points.

What's next?

The winner of the game will advance to the CAC semifinal game against Christopher Newport University. Today's winner would travel to CNU, who received a first-round bye as the top seed in the CAC tournament.
