Bishop and Weaver named to NSCAA All-Region teams

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Two Salisbury University women's soccer players were selected to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division III All-Mid-Atlantic region teams. Senior Robyn Bishop was selected to the first team as a defender while fellow senior forward Kate Weaver was selected to the second team. This is the first time either Bishop or Weaver have been selected to a NSCAA All-Region team.

Bishop was second on the team in goals (nine) and points (19) behind Weaver. She was tied for third on the team with two game-winning goals. The Columbia, Md., native is a two-time All-CAC selection and usually plays midfield for the Sea Gulls.

Weaver, the CAC Women's Soccer Player of the Year and a two-time All-CAC first team selection, led the team in nearly all offensive categories including goals (11), assists (eight), points (30), shots (63), shots on goal (43) and game-winning goals (five). The Abingdon, Md., native helped to lead the Sea Gulls to a 14-4-1 record and a return trip to the NCAA tournament.
