2005 Season Recap
Although loaded with underclassmen, the 2005 Salisbury University women's soccer team was able to compensate for its youth and make a strong run at the end of the season. The team won its final three regular season contests by a combined score of 15-1 to head into Capital Athletic Conference play. SU ended its season with a record of 6-10-1, 3-3-1 in CAC play.
The women opened the season with a 4-0 win over Villa Julie before dropping a pair of games. After defeating Richard Stockton, SU would drop several games but would break the streak with its third shutout of the season, a 2-0 win over Notre Dame (Md.). The women would lull for the next three weeks but would come on strong with three wins to head into the conference tournament.
SU was led by freshman Dana Passucci, who led the team with five goals. She made the most of her rookie campaign by registering 11 points, 14 shots on goal, and four game-winning goals. The Sea Gulls were paced by the play of goalkeeper Katie Hendrickson. Hendrickson made 103 saves on the year, good for a 1.47 goals against average.
