Women's lacrosse lands at No. 4 in IWLCA preseason poll

GRAND LAKE, Colo. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association released the Division III Pre-Season Poll on Monday afternoon and Salisbury University enters the season as the No. 4 team to start the 2019 season.

The Sea Gulls received 527 points and one first-place vote to land at the No. 4 spot after finishing last season with a record of 21-2.

Defending national champion Gettysburg College claimed the top spot, collecting 616 points and 20 first-place votes. Middlebury College checked in at No. 2 with 585 points and two first-place votes, just ahead of The College of New Jersey, who received 574 points and the other two first-place votes. Amherst College rounded out the top five with 519 points.

Two other Capital Athletic Conference opponents appeared in the top 25, with York College of Pennsylvania at No. 6 with 499 points and the University of Mary Washington at No. 8 with 436 points.
