VIDEO: Women's Lacrosse vs. Catholic
The No. 9 Salisbury University women’s lacrosse team took on No. 14 The Catholic University of America on Saturday afternoon, with the Sea Gulls picking up a 13-9 nonconference win. Junior Courtney Fegan got the scoring started for the Sea Gulls on this find from Dana King, which was one of her two assists on the afternoon. Sophomore Taylor Poore tallied two goals on the day, the first of which gave Salisbury an 8-5 lead at the end of the first half. Poore then opened the second half scoring to make it eight straight goals for Salisbury. Junior Lindsey Wagner notched a team-high three goals on the afternoon, including the final two of the game to secure the victory for the Sea Gulls. Senior Gianna Falcone made seven saves in net for the maroon and gold while picking up seven groundballs to earn her first win of the season. Salisbury hosts No. 3 Washington and Lee University on Saturday, March 3 at 1 p.m.
