GRAND LAKE, Colo. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association released the Division III Coaches Poll on Monday afternoon and Salisbury University maintained the No. 1 position in the national rankings.
The Sea Gulls were the unanimous No. 1, receiving all 25 first-place votes and 625 total points. Salisbury won its only game of the week, defeating then-No. 10 University of Mary Washington 11-10 in a dramatic comeback victory on Saturday.
The top five spots in the rankings remained the same, with Gettysburg College at No. 2 (599 points), The College of New Jersey at No. 3 (570 points), Amherst College at No. 4 (552 points), and Franklin & Marshall College rounding out the top five (518 points).
Two other Capital Athletic Conference teams remain in the top 25, with York College of Pennsylvania staying at No. 7 with 479 points and Mary Washington moving up one spot to No. 9 with 420 points.
Salisbury concludes its regular season home slate on Wednesday, April 18 against Marymount (Va.) University at 4 p.m.
