Women’s lacrosse holds at No. 3 in the nation

GRAND LAKE, Colo. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association released the Division III Coaches Poll on Monday afternoon and Salisbury University remained at the No. 3 spot.

The Sea Gulls earned 574 points and one first-place vote in this week's poll, coming in 24 points behind No. 2 Middlebury College (598 points). Salisbury picked up two wins against ranked opponents last week, defeating then-No. 13 William Smith College 12-8 and starting Capital Athletic Conference play with an 8-5 victory over No. 5 York College of Pennsylvania.

Gettysburg College remains at No. 1 after receiving 623 total points and 24 first-place votes. The College of New Jersey jumped two spots to come in at No. 4 with 531 points.

Despite the loss, York remains at No. 5 with 502 points, coming in just ahead of fellow CAC member University of Mary Washington (484 points) at No. 6. St. Mary's College of Maryland dropped out of the top-25 but is still receiving votes.

Salisbury travels to Wesley College to take on the Wolverines on Tuesday, March 27 at 4 p.m. before hosting No. 10 Franklin & Marshall College on Wednesday, March 28 at 4 p.m.
