GRAND LAKE, Colo. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association released the Division III Coaches Poll on Monday afternoon and Salisbury University moved up two spots to No. 3 in the nation.
The Sea Gulls earned 569 points in this week's poll, coming in 27 points behind No. 2 Middlebury College (596). Salisbury went 1-0 last week, earning a 13-10 victory over visiting College at Brockport on March 16.
Gettysburg College held at No. 1, picking up 625 points while also gathering all 25 first-place votes. Trinity College (511) fell one spot to No. 4 while Capital Athletic Conference opponent York College of Pennsylvania (509) moved up four spots to No. 5 to round out the top-five teams in the country.
Fellow CAC teams University of Mary Washington (446) and St. Mary's College of Maryland (40) were also among the top-25 teams in the nation, coming in ranked No. 7 and No. 25, respectively.
Salisbury returns to action on Saturday, March 24 when it begins CAC play against No. 5 York at 1 p.m. at Sea Gull Stadium.
