Duranti earns first CAC Player of the Week award of her career

YORK, Pa. – After a strong performance during the last week, senior Samantha Duranti of the Salisbury University women's lacrosse team was tabbed the Capital Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

The honor marks the first CAC Player of the Week award for Duranti during her four-year career with the Sea Gulls.

The Farmingdale, New York native continued her strong play on Saturday, March 19, leading the Sea Gulls to an 18-0 win over Southern Virginia University. Duranti created havoc in the midfield for the Knights, causing three turnovers in the game.

Duranti and the Sea Gulls will be at home on Wednesday, March 23, when they get set to take on No. 2 Franklin & Marshall College. First draw is set for 4 p.m.
