GREENWOOD, Ind. – Salisbury University junior attacker Megan Wallenhorst added to her award list as the women's lacrosse standout was named to the 2014-15 Capital One Academic All-American At-Large Teams as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America. Wallenhorst was picked for the second team.
Wallenhorst, who was a first-team Academic All-Distric pick, was also named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association All-District First Team and All-American Second Team. She was a first-team All-Capital Athletic Conference pick, while being named the league's Player of the Week on March 30.
The Ellicott City, Maryland native is working towards a degree in accounting, while maintaining a perfect 4.0 grade-point average. To be eligible for nomination, a student-athlete must carry a minimum 3.30 grade-point average and be a starter or key reserve on her team.
This season, she led the squad with 34 goals, while finishing second in assists with 19, she tallied 53 points, which is a career high in her second season with the Sea Gulls.
