SALISBURY, Md. – With a victory in its only game last week, the Salisbury University women's lacrosse team remained No. 9 in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association top 20 coaches' poll and No. 10 in the Lacrosse Magazine rankings, which were announced early this week.
The Sea Gulls (12-3, 8-0 CAC) defeated Marymount (Va.) University in their final regular season game last Wednesday, 19-5, and picked up 227 points in the latest IWLCA poll, 31 points behind No. 8 The College of New Jersey.
Joining Salisbury from the CAC in the IWLCA poll is York College of Pennsylvania, which remained at No. 15 after receiving 121 points, while St. Mary's College of Maryland is receiving votes. York is ranked No. 16 by Lacrosse Magazine.
Salisbury returns to action this weekend in the CAC tournament semifinals at Sea Gull Stadium. The game will be against either the University of Mary Washington or Christopher Newport University.
